The municipality of Smolyan, as the leading partner in the project, will be responsible for the overall coordination of the implementation of the activities, monitoring the fulfillment of all obligations arising from the Grant Agreement and the project partnership agreement. The lead partner's team will organize and supervise the overall implementation of the project and compliance with the schedule, communicating and coordinating with all project partners, stakeholders and the program operator. The Municipality of Smolyan will be responsible for the assignment, the organization of the implementation of the activities to increase the administrative capacity necessary for the implementation of the planned measures, for information and communication, audit. The leading partner is also betting on specific innovative measures to reduce greenhouse emissions and support adaptation to the climate  - installation of two installations for the production of electricity from renewable sources for the needs of the sports hall and the swimming pool in the city, as well as preparing/updating a short-term program to promote the use of energy from renewable energy sources and biofuels; preparation of surveys for energy efficiency.
